STORY

On the edge of the Rose Village shopping district there stands an old, worn-down barbershop, and in the barbershop there lives a girl named Alice. Alice goes to school with her friends at Hekihou Academy, where she’s a member of the photography club. She lives alone except for her pet dog Qoo, and she holds down a part-time job as a waitress at Dragon Burger. Her life is busy and content, but sometimes she feels like there’s something she’s forgetting, something she’s left undone. Maybe even something important.

One day, Alice and her friends visit the clock tower. There, an unusual book falls into Alice’s lap: the diary of a mysterious young man. And that’s where their story begins…

CHARACTERS

Alice Nanno

“Tell me a story”

A straightforward, sweet, and scatterbrained academy student.

Alice attends Hekihou Academy with her friends Yakko and Keiko, where she’s a member of the photography club. She lives alone except for her pet dog Qoo, and she holds down a part-time job as a waitress at Dragon Burger.

Alice’s life is busy and satisfying, but sometimes she feels like there’s something she’s forgetting, something she left undone. Maybe even something important.

The story begins when Alice and her friends visit the clock tower. There, an unusual book falls into Alice’s lap: the diary of a mysterious and rather perverted young man. Why do all the girls Alice meets show up in the diary? Why does nobody remember the events in the diary? And why does Alice feel so strongly that she wants to meet that young man?

Rei Tokeizaka

“I’ll be fine. I’m pretty strong, I’ll have you know.”

The diligent principal of Hekihou Academy, as well as a second-year student, and eldest daughter of the Tokeizaka family.

Brash and bold where her sister is quiet and retiring, Rei is an outgoing, bright, and hard-working girl with a fearsome reputation at school, due to her being both a student and the Academy’s principal. Handling everything from patrolling the streets at night to planning the school festival, it’s a wonder she has time to sleep.

Although she can have a somewhat thorny personality, Rei has a heart of gold. She can usually be found, along with her sister, in the principal’s office, where the two pull long hours keeping the school running smoothly.

Canon Tokeizaka

“Because I was always studying, I never learned how to bring joy to people’s hearts.”

Rei’s twin sister and fellow principal. A shy girl with an odd inclination towards probability.

The socially awkward sister among the Tokeizaka twins, Canon respects and adores her sister, even though she secretly believes she can be a little rash. Where Rei is the public face of the Academy, Canon prefers to work quietly behind the scenes, cleaning up, doing office work, and helping with the administrative day-to-day.

Canon likes to stay in the principal’s office and read the many books lining the walls which describe the Academy’s history.

Hijiri Suou

“It would be sinful not to come to the aid of the troubled angel before your eyes.”

A devoted nun with a very particular sense of smell.

Hijiri believes that she is an angel and that her role on earth is to tend to the Lord’s flock. Her winsome smile, merciless tongue, and utter lack of self-awareness form an unassailable trinity of powers, so most people tend to just leave her alone after suffering the initial shock of an introduction.

She can often be found in the church, where her odd sleeping arrangement has been known to cause consternation among early-morning visitors.

Mii Kashiwabara

“They say the rain follows me around…”

A serious girl with a fondness for photography and a long-buried dream.

Mii is Alice’s mentor in the photography and newspaper club, where she’s known for her work on both fronts. She also has a part-time job at a local studio, where she helps out with photo shoots. And yet, despite her busy life, people are always asking her to do more, to go a little further, and she’s too much of a pushover to say no.

But when it comes to something she wants for herself, like her cherished childhood dream of becoming an idol, Mii can be self-denying to a fault. She’s very proud of her self-control: no matter how bad she wants something, she’ll hold herself back from asking for it if she thinks it’s inappropriate.

Konron Fujita

“Shoo.”

A mysterious beauty, quietly working behind the scenes toward her own agenda.

A member of Alice’s class at Hekihou, Konron returns from a long absence the same day the story begins. Even after she finally returns, all she does is sit by the window and stare outside, until three third-year girls arrive to fawn over her.

Konron is suspicious of the Tokeizaka sisters, so she relies on Takumi to protect her, even though he tries to tell her they’re harmless.
