A Japanese love adventure game, as you follow the story of Kogasaka You, his hometown and a promise he made.
Meet Kogasaka You and his little sister, Chinami, both of whom after the sudden death of their mother, are set to leave the city to go back to their childhood hometown to live with their aunt, Shino. Initially leaving their hometown of Hibarigasaki was difficult for You, as he was close friends with a girl who he saw nearly every day after school at the local town lookout. When she discovered that You would be leaving the town, she made him promise to return to marry her and left him with simply a kiss on the forehead to remember her by.
Once You returns to his hometown, he searches for that childhood friend, only to find his previous meet-up location is now fenced-off and abandoned. While out searching, he instead stumbles on a mysterious girl named Mare who carries a scythe and claims to be a Grim Reaper. Now back in his hometown, You starts to rebuild his life, making friends and continuing his search for the girl he made a promise to. Will he eventually find his promised love? Who is this mysterious girl and why does she seem so familiar?

I tend to be skeptical and picky when it comes to VNs, especially when it comes to price on these things. But I can honestly say that this work was thirty dollars well spent.The characters are phenomenal and all quite well thought out, the universe in which the work takes place in expertly weaves spiritual points into more realistic points ad the conflicts of the two world views. The individual routes of all the girls (So far as I have not completed the 7th route available to the player after being dumbfounded by the 6th route) are all quite well thought out and personable. The VN provides many different routes and various girls with personalities such to the point that I find anyone who picks it up will surely find one of the girls to their liking. In some ways however, the VN does not provide adequate ending/closure to the 6th, and from what I have heard 7th routes, as a result a fandisc called “Hoshizora no Memoria: Eternal Heart” was made, though I am unaware of any translations to English or I would have bought it in a heart beat and I do home Denpasoft does acquire the fandisc should it become available in English. Something to look out for if you decide to pick up this work. In all honesty there was little that I felt was wrong with the work, and only had minor gripes with some pacing in certain character arcs, however that can easily be overlooked in the few cases it occurred.

Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star is a vn I just happen to come across on steam read a bit about it then thought i would try it out but not on steam since they don’t like games with nudity in them and I wanted to get the full version, so I went to the place I learned about when I bought Nekopara on steam which is here on Denpasoft. Anyway this game was pricey so I was hesitant on buying this vn, but it was said to have several routes and the art looked nice so I decided to buy it anyway. Let me say this, this game looks beautiful the art is spectacular, the story is also very well done and full of feels and the characters were lovable and I enjoyed playing through each and every route in it. Romance wise this game felt very well done in all the routes all thought the h-scenes felt a little forced at times but at other times they were nicely placed like in Asuho’s route for example. I very much love the story and the characters and although I felt there could have been improvements on a few things the huge amount of pros definitely outweigh the cons. To go into more detail on such things like h-scenes like some people might want the game for well they are all right but not the best, this is more about the romance rather than the sex though. I was torn on whether to give this a 5 star rating or a 4 star because I personally think it should be 4.5 star rating for this vn but went with 5 since I loved all my time in this story.P.S. Chinimi & Asuho Are Best Girls

Some people hail this as the greatest VN ever, while I wouldn’t go that far I do think it’s good. The artwork is great, the soundtrack is decent and there are plenty of routes to get stuck into. It’s not a brisk read so you’ll have to invest a fair bit of time but the story is pretty darn good so it’s worth it.

The game overall is pretty well written, I personally don’t like the format of having to unlock heroines one by one.However the game has by far the worst protagonist in any VN i’ve played so far, as for the other characters; apart from the ‘secret heroine’ everyone else is just ok, the secret rout was by far my favourite and I don’t want to give any spoilers, so enjoy it for yourselves!

I wanted so bad to give it a higher review than 3/5. The story itself is well written, the music composition was astounding(though I personally found 1 song in particular grating), and the characters I could relate to, BUT there were so many errors through out that I have to mark it down if only in a vain attempt to get the developers attention. There are untranslated lines, typos by the number, mistaken pronouns, and several times where punctuation was thrown out the window entirely. It is my personal opinion that those small things, no matter how insignificant they may be, can truly affect a stories power to captivate. The developers NEED an editor or at the very least a tester who is capable of catching these mistakes.In the event that these things are corrected I would gladly raise my review to 5/5. This is an amazing story and while errors have put me off of a perfect review I’d still like to give my thanks to the company for translating and making this readily available.

Aside form the cute art style and wonderful performances from the voice actors, i cant wholeheartedly recommend this one. It feel really long and tedious, the jokes are over done, and the conflicts for some routes just feel incredibly forced and really adds nothing to the story. some conflicts go against the established characters we’ve gotten to know as well. cant recommend but its not the worst thing ive ever read.

I wrestled with this one a little. The art, music, and voice acting are all excellent. My main beef is with the story. Some of the routes are nigh-incomprehensible. I don’t want to prejudice anyone against any particular route, but I’ll just say that some of them leave you wondering what exactly is going on, why the characters are behaving very irrationally and uncharacteristically, and so on. Ultimately I still give this five stars because the characters are all lovable and I can overlook the story to a pretty big degree if the main thrust of the work is that it’s a comfy and comedic moege that plays to its strengths, which this does. It’s entertaining and most likely you won’t be disappointed. Some of the twists are pretty good, too, even if they are rather predictable.

I hold this and Grisaia as gold standards of VN’s. Though the early versions had a lot of technical and translation problems, they seem to mostly have been fixed. This is one of the best VN’s out there, and definitely worth a chance.
