We’re announcing today that all physical products on Denpasoft will be moving over to the soon to be opened Denkai Shoten website. Denpasoft will then revert to being a fully 100% digital download shop. The move will gradually take place from today to the end of July.

When Denpasoft was open for business back in 2014, we didn’t necessarily envision selling anything but digital products. Many years later, we’re still selling digital products but there’s plenty of thin books, dakimakura covers and physical games that we’ve also put out.

However, one of the unfortunate issues with the site backend is that if you had a digital product and a physical preorder in your order, there would be issues trying to release the digital download without also accidentally marking the order as fulfilled when the physical hasn’t been shipped yet. Another issue is for users that wish to buy from a certain shop and from us at the same time, they ask why it is necessary to be charged twice for shipping if the shipping location is the same. Yes, that sentence sounds weird but that’s just how things are.

With the advent of Denkai Shoten, you will not have to worry about these issues any longer. While yes it does mean another account you will need to make specifically for Denkai Shoten, no longer will there be issues with digital and physical orders. In addition, Denkai Shoten will be working with other 3rd party vendors to carry their products so that it can be a one stop shop for all your ero and non-ero needs.

What’s going to happen to physical products on Denpasoft?

Physical products on Denpasoft will be slowly pulled from the site up until the end of July. You will still be able to make physical orders so long as there’s inventory on the website but don’t be surprised if that product disappears the next moment before you checkout.

What about current preorders on physical products on Denpasoft?

Any preorders that haven’t been fulfilled yet will still be processed by Denpasoft. Once fulfillment is complete, the product will be pulled from the site.

Where will new information be posted about new Denpasoft physical products?

We will still announce new physical products via our social media accounts, this website and our convention industry panels. In addition, you can follow Denkai Shoten’s social media accounts for the latest news as well.
