Let us live on this land so arid.

KARAKARA. It is the sound of aridity. It is the sound of dry asphalt and sandy winds. It is the sound of relentless sunshine, as well as the sound of a withering race.

The “Age of Dusk.” It is a time of senescence for the human species, during which hybrids known as the “Others”—those who are human, yet not—exist in great numbers. On the windswept barrens of a land without moisture, a small gathering of people make their living in a world they no longer know. Down a stretch of highway and far from the heart of the town are two such people who run a small diner. To them, the circumstances that reshaped their world is of far less concern than the number of lunch boxes they can load into their delivery vehicle. After all, leaving customers hungry is not good for business, and business keeps them fed. Day after day, they occupy themselves with the endless work of their store. However, the comfortable monotony of their daily lives is turned on its head when they discover a large suitcase by the roadside on their way home from deliveries. Lying on the suitcase, unmoving, is a young girl with pink hair…

Though parched, they keep each other company,

and while hollow, they fill each other’s voids.

So shall they live

on this land so arid.

  • Continuing the story from KARAKARA
  • Meet Rebecca=Valentine. One day, she visits Leon’s diner. With a gentle, tender personality and the disposition of an older sister, she handles any and all household chores flawlessly, and has excellent skills in horticulture — rare in this “Age of Dusk”. But the truth is, she is under certain “circumstances”…
  • Meet Mari=Mizuno. Holding ninjas in great esteem, this girl trains day and night. Leon finds her on the brink of starvation and comes to her aid, leading her to respect him greatly. She never slacks on her training, leading her to possess great physical prowess — she makes full use of this, volunteering to guard the diner.

A long highway stretches uncurving from the heart of Sagami Francisco. The sparse clouds grant little respite from the merciless heat of the sun.
Off to the side of the highway, a lone diner sits quietly a good ways from town. Though small, the work involved in running the diner keeps the main character and Lucia plenty busy.
Inside the diner is a cozy atmosphere with a kitchen to the back and tables in the front. Once they finish the day’s work, the weary pair will retreat upstairs to their living quarters.

Definitevely a nice improvement over the original. The original gave me a feeling nothing happened and i wasted my kickstarter backer money but this one was certainly a better sequel than the first one.Just a small warning half spoiler, the ending’s a cliffhanger.I laugh so much when some bomb line was dropped. Those revelation catch you by surprise since it’s not what you was thinking at first it would be.

I really enjoyed the first game, but can’t help but feel that it was kinda empty and short. Well, this is pretty short as well, but I loved the new characters and the character development. I liked this way more than the first game and really hope that the series do not end here. Totally would recommend

What you loved about the original just more of it in the sequel. KARAKARA 2 improves on it predecessor with more light and fluffy moments, more humor, more drama and adds two new heroines into the mix. If you liked the first game, you’ll want to read the second.

I’m not much for the older sister type, so Rebecca wasn’t as interesting, but Mari is adorable and I love her backstory. As usual, the CGs are absolutely gorgeous, and I think the story took a more mature turn from the original. Excited for the third part!

Just like at the first game, the second game has also have a good storyline and delivers the story from the ending of the first game. The game has nice illustrations, music, and the characters as well. Go get the game.

  38. Verified Owner (verified owner)

second season of Karakara starts where the last VN stopped. This story is getting better and better! Can’t wait for the next volume! Very cute characters and the story starts light, but gets heavier with each passing moment, but it’s not forgetting to let you on the feelstrain!

  39. Verified Owner (verified owner)

This was quite adorable and interesting overall, just wish they were much longer. I do hope to see more.

  40. Verified Owner (verified owner)

Short, but sweet. 2020 and no sign of vol. 3 anytime soon. Worth a buy considering its a very fair price, but just be aware there will be a cliffhanger for a while.

  41. Verified Owner (verified owner)

This game, and the one before it, make me wish the current world will be destroyed in some cataclysmic event and replaced by this amazing world full of neko, doggo, fox, and bunny eared girls.

I could write more, but the sheer volume of positive reviews already posted speak for themselves.
